The Life Around Us.

A walk through a buzzing neighbourhood could sometimes make you appreciate your own streets a little differently.

People passing by, shopping, eating, talking and meeting friends.. Ordinary life happening all around them, with a real sense of community..

It often makes me think of Our local neighbourhood, East ham.. which has has so much of that too from High Street, cafés, restaurants, shops, places of worship, families, workers and residents, on top, great schools.. all bringing their own character to the area.

Perhaps sometimes community is built through the simple act of being out, seeing people, recognising familiar faces and feeling that the place around you is yours too.

As a local Safer Neighbourhood Officer, I'm pleased to be part within this everyday community life and to play my small part where I can.
